Re: Wanted - Pedigree Dexter Steer

Thanks. Would you be able to deliver direct to the abattoir for me in Sutton-on-the-Forest. It's about 100 miles from Grantham?

If so could possibly come and have a look on Thursday 26th May if that suited?

Thanks

Re: Wanted - Pedigree Dexter Steer

Hi Rob,

Around 450kgs live weight and 24/26 months ideally. Not OTM.

If you've got a good beefy steer (or heifer) will happily come and discuss.

Thanks again

Wanted - Pedigree Dexter Steer

Having just dispersed my Pampas Herd of pedigree Dexter cattle I am looking to purchase a finished / beefy non-short pedigree Dexter Steer (which can be sold under the Beef Certification Scheme) for delivery direct to the abattoir we use in Sutton-on-the-Forest, North Yorkshire, at the end of June 2...

Re: Pampas Herd Dispersal

Thanks Lisa. At least they've all gone to good homes. Apparently stock bull has been bought to work too which is a bonus.

If ever in North Yorkshire come see us. You'll only be able to look st Aberdeen Angus I'm afraid but I proud of them too.

Re: Pampas Herd Dispersal

Sadly our stock bull Pampas Arthur did only make £367.50 which was disappointing as he's out of an Apollo cow by Harron Loyal Soldier. However the Pampas bred In-calf heifers x 3 averaged £436 each and heifer calves ranging in age from 10 months to 6 months averaged £262 each. Hope that helps Kind r...

Re: Pampas Herd Dispersal

Many thanks Rob. Appreciated. We've had a lot of pre-sale interest in the herd and believe that these wonderful cattle offer something for everyone. We are now Red Tractor Farm Assured too so in addition to our high health status (and 4 Year Testing TB area) buyers can be very confident of the prove...

Pampas Herd Dispersal

Dear All, We have reluctantly taken a decision to disperse our wonderful easy calving / high health status herd of Dexter Cattle (Pampas Herd Prefix) on Friday 13th May 2016 at Malton Market (North Yorkshire) as we focus on developing our other farming operations. Cundalls will be handling the sale ...

North Yorkshire Dexter Group?

Dear All, Does anyone know if there is a North Yorkshire Dexter Group? I will shortly be moving into a small grassland farm I've purchased just outside Acklam and will be taking the Pampas herd with me from Oxfordshire. Having been a part (albeit a distant part) of the Midland Dexter Group, who are ...

Urgent Scottish Grazings Required

I wonder if anyone in the Dexter world in Scotland might, please, be able to help.

I urgently need suitable summer grazings for my cattle in Scotland - location less important than availability. Accredited herd of x 17 Dexters. Top price paid for the right land.

Many thanks

Re: Weaned Calfs

I've used Seaquim very successfully over the last three years. 25kg Buckets of Seaquim Original out in the fields in summer and the bagged version (Seaquim Elite) to mix with concentrates in winter when the herd is housed. I deal directly with The Glenside Group in Scotland who are incredibly helpfu...

Thanks so much to all. Managed to find a supply both through Mole Valley and Countrywide so all sorted and cattle maintaining condition.

Appreciate the suggestions.
