Hi,
We are about to take our first cow off to the abattoir. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what paperwork we need to sort out and take with us. I really don't want to get there and find I have omitted to do something vital.

You need the animal's passport and also an FCI form. If you go to Broomcroft Info and go to downloads, you will find the "FCI Cattle Form".

The first page is for cattle, the second for sheep, and the third is only used if you have a problem, so leave all blank except page one unless there is a problem with your animal.

Hi Helen,

You may find the abattoir has a food chain decleration you can sign when you get there, but best download a form from Clive's site for this first visit.

Helen

The abbatoir may have their own paperwork as well, if they have a website I would check it.
