The Catologue is now on line, go to http://www.mccartneys.co.uk click on livestock auctions then pedigree sales and scroll down, 48 entries at present consisting of, cows, hiefers, bulls and steers. Excluding steers all are halter trained and include several show animals with several reserve and breed champions.

Would love to know how it went today. I was determined to go, as could do with some more steers, but just couldn't make it.

The majority of animals being offered for sale were shorts as the sellers are active showmen & women. I felt the high standard of presentation was a credit to the sellers and the breed. Prices were pretty varied and ranged from 260 gns for 1st calver with steer at foot to 1100gns for 3rd calver with bull calf at foot. 4 Bulls offered and sold to 1620 gns.
