Post by nuttalls »

on a happier note guys, we cut grass 22nd sept and managed a 3rd crop of 49 big bales and after a scary week with the weather, made 400 little hay bales as i said to my friend never made hay in thermals due to sunday being very blustery :) :) :)

We just made 10 acres of silage on 24 Sept, but making hay is an achievement.

Did 3 cuts on this field. 1st cut 47 bales, 2nd cut 47 bales, 3rd cut 46. It's a very reliable field :).

Indeed, hay is an achievement, especially in the North West! We've had too many showery intervals to risk any more hay, but it's been a much better year for quality and quantity! :) Now we just have the logistics of getting it all back to base...
