Over age heifer for beef.

Post by Saffy »

Does anyone in my area fancy trying an over age heifer for beef. It is supposed to be the best and I would absolutely love to have some of it myself but.....there is only me!

My mistake I kept her empty to put in with a young bull and it appears that she had got too fat to get in calf, a terrible shame as she is a lovely heifer, she is now 4 and would make fabulous eating.

I have a steer just coming up to 2 and a half and in perfect condition if somebody wanted two. I will put an ad in the Cattle For Sale section asap.

Both non short. Near Monmouth and Abergavenny.

I've just done one Stephanie. I grew a heifer, deliberately kept her back and barren for 4 years. Totally grass-fed all those years. Put her in the freezer a few months ago. Went on holiday, came back, freezer had blown a fuse so haven't got a clue what the beef would have been like :(
