Following on from questios asked at the AGM Council is currently considering which direction to go with this. We don't want to repeat previous mistakes. Any imput as to why the previous attempt was aborted would be apprieciated.
It seems from what I can gather the previous scheme fell into disrepute due to the inconsistancies of Inspection. If we took that route how could we ensure consistancy? It would seem that very few other breeds carry out compulsary inspections.
OR maybe we consider making DNA profiling a condition of Full Registration as has been suggested by Di Smith?
This route would :-
Give us insurance against fraud in the future.
Enhance the Breed Credibility
In time it would give us a data base of knowledge
