I am one who surports compulsory bull inspections
however I'm not sure if the suggestion that there would be a refund of £30 a good idea if the bull fails as this would possibly incourage people to use the sceme, to kind of sort the wood from the chaff, where at the moment one is inclined to look very critically at a calf and its parents before spending £40 or ask a field officer or mentor for advice, just my thoughts.
I do think it is a good idea that more than one person now inspects the bulls as it is very important that the same critia is used country wide.
I would also like to see the dexter society move towards all registered animals being DNA profiled
