In the USA our Lab used for the Chondro. test is Bova - Can, who are in Canada. So maybe tell them to contact John Potter who handles all our tests if they would like to test their animals. If you need John's email it is available from the ADCA web site http://www.dextercattle.org/ .

John, I'm a Brit living in the USA and need to borrow your tin hat for the 4th of July if you can spare it!
Jokes aside, good idea, so can we get flags here?

Why do they take points off for the black nose? Don't think that happens in the USA, how about Australia or NZ? I was discussing this with someone the other week and wondering why there are the two nose colors on reds? Anyone know whare it comes from? do older red animals have black noses? Anyone h...

Ken,
I'm in the USA and I'd purchase one to if it goes on CD, and I think many in the States would be thrilled to buy one. Let me know if you get it done and I'd be happy to help you sell them over here if you need any help.

Well over here in the States I just got between 2-3 FEET of snow this last weekend, so I hope it doesn't get any colder for us, but maybe I'd take a little warmth. The Dexters just plow through it though so doesn't seem to bother them any.

Beryl, thank you for the "maturity" age. Only having had Dexters 5 years and still a newbie, I opted to test the 2 cows and 2 bull calves I have here, all have tested Non carrier so am on my way to a clear herd. It seems that in the UK you are more apt to show carrier animals, was wonderi...

The problem with measureing cows in general is that it's done when they are say 3 years old, but they do continue to grow, so by the time they are maybe 8 or 9 that 44" bull could be up in the 46-48" region and maybe taller. I'm not sure when they stop their height growth, but we've been ...

This link http://www.bovigen.com/ shows some Dexters that have been tested in the USA, It would be a good marketing tool for beef sales.
