For myself, I do not wish to buy any but am considering selling the next batch as I need the milk and do not wish to bucket feed calves as well, unless it is not fin...

Calves for Rearing
Thought I would throw this one open to the floor. What prices would you be asking for calves under six weeks for double suckling or bucket feeding? Male and female please birth notified.

Re: A Price for Selling Steers
In an ideal world you would have the space to finish your steers yourself and take advantage of the price of the beef. If all you are going to get is £100 for a calf then it isn't worth breeding it. How much did it cost you to feed it's mother and put her in calf?

Re: A Price for Selling Steers
PS. I'd say that if you can get £1.70'ish then you should pay the TB test cost if applicable, and also do the transport which you'd have to have done for the butcher or market. Trouble is if they are only buying one or two you cannot bear the TB costs on such a small number of animals. HCC provisio...

Re: which AI bull for good udders?
Im sure that I have asked this question before but failed to write the answer down... We have one cow we AI every year. We are trying to improve the 'udders' in our herd. Can anyone recommend any of the society AI bulls or any Other AI bulls who are noted for throwing cows with good udders? Knottin...

Wilted nettles are a great delicacy to livestock. Get the topper or strimmer out.

Re: how many?
I think there are some there that are sold but people do not ask for them to be removed from the site. When is the right time to get them removed, is it when a deposit has been taken or when the balance is paid?

Your don't know how lucky you are Clive. If I were in your position I'd have cleaned up by now. Pie factory that's all I'm going to say on the subject.
