Dexter Cattle For Sale Discussion Board

Following the general topic - I went to the last Royal Show at Stoneleigh - spoke to some super Dexter people -now have my little herd - that although they can be pains in the next will not consider a house move unless it has land.

Can anybody advise me roughly how much a non short beef Dexter drinks in a day/week. We are having to transport our water to the summer field and I wondered how big a bowser I will need. I just need a rough estimate.

Will they be buying direct from individual producers or through crossgar or similar - how would I get involved with supplying them if I could?

My lovely old lady calved on Friday 14 /10 11- but we have lost her, I have a 3 day old bull calf needing a foster mother near to Ashbourne/Uttoxeter or nearby for a few months, if possible. Can anybody help?
