Unwanted Bull required

Post by Mark Bowles »

I have received this message for help, can anyone sort the lady out?

Wanted - 'Unwanted' bull to help us out while we're under TB restrictions
We're in the nightmare position of being shut down with suspected TB (a yearling was sadly taken).
I have 5 cows that I want to run with a pedigree bull, so am looking for a bull that someone would otherwise be taking for kill. He could spend a few happy weeks/months living his dream before then ending up at destination slaughterhouse. We're apparently allowed to bring a bull in on licence for breeding purposes, but then he wouldn't be allowed to leave again until we're clear. We're not in a position to keep a bull full time, hence looking for one that is towards the end of his days. A bull is generally more reliable than AI...... please can someone help! Thank you
