DCS Herd books. . . VOLUME 1 & 2 . . . . . are now added complete to the Legacy online registry.
This completes the first six volumes. In addition, all of the Irish ancestors connecting to the English registrations, or the original Irish registrations were also entered. Other volumes are also entered complete and some are still in progress through the 1930's.

LegacyDexterCattleRegistry.com Click on World Dexters tab for the World pedigrees. The customized search can be used to locate individual herds, photos, or research color . The note section copies verbatim information listed in the herd books.

There are a few historical additions to be found with the forum tab, with more coming.

There are MANY historical pictures added to the pedigrees, especially Woodmagic. The Woodmagic pedigrees, for the most part, are completed to foundation.

WANTED: HISTORICAL PHOTOS TO ADD TO THE PEDIGREES AND HERD BOOKS 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.

The Legacy World Pedigree section has DCS volumes 1-24 and 31-through 45 ( less 1943) entered complete and including Irish ancestors from available herd books.

I am seeking to purchase copies or herd books 25 through 30 and 1943 to complete all entries and ancestors.

The pedigrees will display with any photos that have been located of the registered cattle.
It is a treasure trove for any with an interest in historical research. The listings include all data found in the herd books.

ALSO: 2500 listing from the Netherlands are entered and connected to their DCS ancestors.

Please. . . if you know someone with pre-1950 herd books for sale, or someone who would be willing to copy or loan. . . . . this project is a worthy one!

Judy
